Information boundary before file intake
Do not send the file before the information route is agreed.
The first contact is deliberately non-sensitive. Confidential or full-file material is received only after the matter boundary, permitted use, information route and relevant controls are confirmed.
First contact
Organisation/role, the decision or reliance question, approximate cut-off, main record types, intended use and timing. No confidential attachments.
Before sensitive intake
Scope, confidentiality basis, approved transfer route, data handling, AI use where permitted, access and matter-specific requirements are confirmed.
During review
Only the material necessary for the agreed question enters the controlled review boundary. Release remains founder-controlled.
AI and human control
Assistance is permitted only inside the agreed information route.
AI tools may assist controlled analysis and QA where the agreed information route permits it. Source evidence, material conclusions and final release remain human-verified and founder-controlled.
Detailed provider, access, retention, approval and release controls are addressed at the pre-engagement or matter-specific stage where they are relevant. RGRA does not publish unsupported security or certification claims.
What is confirmed before confidential intake
The data route follows the matter — not the other way around.
Scope and permitted use
What the material is being used to answer, for whom and at what cut-off.
Confidentiality basis
NDA or other contractual confidentiality route where required.
Transfer and access
The approved location, access rights and minimum-necessary source set.
AI-use position
Whether AI assistance is permitted, under which route and with what human verification.
Retention / release
Matter-specific handling, release and post-engagement requirements.
Professional-review route
External/client-side reviewer where downstream specialist judgement or risk requires it.
Second-stage information
Need the information boundary before a real matter proceeds?
The Pre-Engagement Information Boundary Note is available once a prospective matter reaches due-diligence stage.
First contact stays light
